HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! - Welcome to another fun-filled year with Yardley Singles!

Holiday Dinner Dance Memories - I think all those who attended will agree the HOLIDAY DINNER DANCE was a warm and wonderful success. The food was delicious, the decorations beautiful, the music by Rick and Kenny was perfect and everyone had so much fun!

Sunshine Club - The Board would like you to know that we have a “Sunshine Club” that sends cards to members when they are ill, hospitalized, injured, or have had a death in their family. If you know anyone in these situations, please contact any board member so we can let them know we are thinking of them.

The Super (Souper) Bowl Party. Every year this event is lots of fun. Whether or not your team is in it, the Super Bowl is always more fun with your friends from Yardley Singles. Join us at Uno’s in Langhorne, PA on Sunday, February 5th, from 5:30 p.m. until the game is over. Light fare will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Please bring a can of soup or other canned goods for donation to a local food bank. Tickets are required for this event ($10/members; $15/non-members) and can be purchased from any board member. Make checks payable to “Yardley Singles.” A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

New Event – Christine’s for Breakfast! We have enjoyed Christine’s Restaurant in Yardley for Dinner. Now we are going to try their breakfast menu. They only serve breakfast on Sundays, so that is when we are going. I’m sure it will be delicious.

Two Dances Coming Up: We are planning ahead for warmer days and nights. We have two dances coming up – both at Middletown Country Club. Start planning now for early March when we will have a Mardi Gras/Saint Patrick’s Day dance and for early May for our Cinco de Mayo, Mexican Fiesta. Dust off your shamrocks, feather masks, and sombreros. Details to be announced soon.

Yardley Park’n’Ride Info: Located off the Yardley I-95 exit on Taylorsville Road. Meet in the middle of the lot for carpooling events. A board member may not be at this location. It is up to those in attendance to determine what time to leave and arrange the carpooling. Don’t forget to share the expenses of driving.

House Party/Game Night Info: A reservation is required for all events held at someone’s home. Attendance is limited. Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks are provided. BYOB and non-member attendance is at the discretion of the host/hostess. Cost varies depending on the type of function. PLEASE CALL THE HOTLINE IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL A RESERVATION.
